Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
François-Xavier Souvay is the founder and the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumenpulse. In this capacity, he oversees global vision, corporate development and strategic planning, maintaining Lumenpulse’s reputation for innovation and customer experience excellence.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Mr. Souvay has over 25 years of experience in the lighting industry. By age 23, he was already contributing to large commercial real estate projects in Montreal, and soon was recruited by a specification grade outdoor lighting company, where he established a network of agents and VARs in Canada and the United States. Leveraging this experience, he then acted as a consultant for various lighting companies across North America.
In 1999, he acquired Luxtec, a value-added reseller of diversified specification-grade lighting solutions, and was soon spearheading LED research and development. Focused on combining innovative technology expertise with strong industrial design, he founded Lumenpulse in 2006. The company has since established itself as the leading pure-play specification-grade LED lighting solution provider.
Mr. Souvay holds numerous patents in his name and is a well-known thought leader in the LED lighting industry. In 2015, He was awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Quebec.

Nicolas Bélanger is a businessman, entrepreneur and active investor. Since 2002, Nicolas Bélanger has managed Groupe W Inc., a privately held growth and buyout investment fund, which he co-founded with a business partner. Through Groupe W Inc., Mr. Bélanger has led over 30 investments and he is an active board member for many such investments.
In 1995, he co-founded DTI Software. Under his guidance as President, DTI became a leader in the in-flight entertainment industry, serving over 105 international airline customers and was successfully sold to a publicly-traded German group in January 2008. In 2007, DTI was ranked in the Deloitte “Technology Fast 50”, recognizing the 50 fastest growing tech companies with the highest percentage revenue growth over five years.
Mr. Bélanger launched W2 in 2011 and W3 in 2013. These two additional venture capital funds were set up to provide sidecar investments in partnership with a large Québec-based institutional investment fund. The W group has invested in companies including Streamtheworld, Lumenpulse, Distech Controls, iBwave, Audiokinetic, Orckestra, PasswordBox and COLO-D. In 2007, Ernst & Young named him “Entrepreneur of the Year”. Mr. Bélanger is also a founder and board member of the not-for-profit organization La Fondation Noel Printemps, a non-profit organization benefiting low-income families with sick children.

François Côté is a Company Director and an investor. Previously, he has been Chair of TELUS Ventures, a global investment fund, since 2014, after holding the positions of Executive Vice President of TELUS Corporation and Vice Chair, TELUS Québec, TELUS Health and TELUS Ventures in 2012. Formerly President and CEO at Emergis Inc., a publicly-traded company, Mr. Côté was appointed President, TELUS Health Solutions, following TELUS’ acquisition of Emergis in January 2008.
Mr. Côté also held a variety of management positions during a 17-year career at Bell Canada, after which he spent eight years working in the health sector in Canada and the United States. Mr. Côté holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from Laval University. In 2007, Ernst & Young named him “Entrepreneur of the Year” in the category of Turnaround Entrepreneur for Québec. In 2013, the Canadian Forces named him Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the 34th Signal Regiment. Mr. Côté serves on the board of EXFO (company quoted at TSX and NASDAQ). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Alithya, and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of La Fondation du Dr. Julien. Also member of the Board of Directors of the Fondation Martin Matte, Mr. Côté is also Vice Chair of the TELUS Fund, an independent organization established to finance the creation of health and wellness content.

Pierre Fitzgibbon is Managing Partner at Walter Capital Partner. Walter Capital Partners is a private equity firm which is part of the Walter Group. Walter Capital invests capital and know-how in established small and medium-sized businesses to help accelerate their growth. Prior Pierre Fitzgibbon was Atrium Innovations’ President and Chief Executive Officer from 2007 to 2014 when it was sold to Permira. Atrium Innovations is a leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of added-value products for the health and nutrition industry. Atrium was operating in 8 countries and serviced 35 in the world. Prior to Atrium Pierre Fitzgibbon was at National Bank Group for 5 years as a Vice-Chairman of National Bank Financial from 2002 to 2005, and from 2005 to 2007, he held the position of CFO of National Bank of Canada.
Prior to joining National Bank Group, Mr. Fitzgibbon was for a period of two years President and Managing Director of New World Mobility, an innovative wireless communication provider in Hong Kong. In his capacity Mr. Fitzgibbon lead the implementation of a new corporate strategy and the next generation multi-media efforts and business developments. For three years prior to joining New World Mobility, Mr. Fitzgibbon held various executive positions in Finance, Corporate and Business Development at Chase Capital Partner, Telesystem International Wireless in Canada and Asia. He also spent five years at Domtar in various executive positions, namely as Head of the Packaging Division and as Chief Financial Officer. Before, he was Chief Financial Officer of Peerless Carpet Corporation and previously with Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Fitzgibbon holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the École des hautes études commerciales of Montreal (affiliated with l’Université de Montréal), passed his chartered accountant (CPA) exam in 1978 and holds a certificate in general management from Harvard Business School.

Pierre Larochelle is President and Chief Executive Officer of Power Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Power Corporation of Canada. He joined Power Corporation of Canada in March 2009 as Vice President, Investments. Prior to joining Power Corporation of Canada, Mr. Larochelle was President and Chief Executive Officer at Adaltis Inc, a position he held between November 2003 and February 2009. Previously, he also held the positions of Vice President, Business Development, at Picchio Pharma Inc. and Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions for Credit Suisse First Boston in London, England.
Mr. Larochelle started his career as a lawyer at the Montreal offices of Ogilvy Renault. Mr. Larochelle holds a law degree from Université de Montreal, a master’s degree in international business law from McGill University and an MBA degree from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He sits on the Boards of Directors of Sagard SAS, Bellus Health, Power Energy Corporation, Potentia Solar Inc. and Eagle Creek Renewable Energy, LLC.

Josée Perreault has over 24 years of experience in the international wholesale and retail business within the consumer goods industry. She served as the Senior Vice President of World Business for Oakley from 2010 to 2015. She joined Oakley in 1994 as General Manager of the Montreal (Canada) subsidiary. Ms. Perreault subsequently held numerous positions worldwide within Oakley.
In 2001, she joined the Paris base office as co-manager of the European subsidiary and in 2008 she moved to Zurich as the Regional Vice-President of EMEA. Prior to joining Oakley, Josée held many positions in Canadian companies related to business and brand management.
Today, she has been recently appointed as the SVP of Canam-Spyder for BRP, managing a newly created business units dedicated to the commercialisation of the Canam-Spyder véhicules. She is also currently a member of the Board of Directors of WSP.
Director, Member of the Audit Committee
Michel Ringuet is the Chief Executive Officer of Master Group Inc., the leader in the distribution of HVAC/R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) equipment in Eastern Canada, and a recipient of Deloitte’s best managed companies for 5 consecutive years. He has been serving in such capacity since 2006. Previously, he served as VP of Finance and Administration from 1990 to 2006.
Prior to joining Master Group, where he is particularly active in corporate development and strategic investments, Mr. Ringuet worked in various departments of finance and investment at National Bank of Canada and Bank of Montreal. In addition to his involvement as a private investor with different companies, he is also a member of the investment committees of the following funds: Cycle Capital, a venture capital fund that invests in clean technologies; XPND Capital, a Montreal-based growth capital fund focusing on companies in the media, entertainment and technology sectors; and BDG-Appalaches, which includes European and Canadian investors targeting the SME market in traditional sectors.
Mr. Ringuet holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration from Université Laval and an MBA from McGill University. He sits on the Board of Earth Alive Clean Technologies Inc and Colo-D Inc. He is also President of the Governor’s Council of Fondation Tel-Jeunes, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young people in Québec.
