Embassy Suites

Lumenpulse and Sternberg luminaires were used to enrich the industrial-chic exterior architecture of a newly restructured Embassy Suites hotel.

In Rockford, the new Embassy Suites hotel is an industrial-chic hospitality venue that turned an empty manufacturing plant into a choice place to stay in Rockford, Illinois. The Embassy Suites, which now adjoins the 13,000 square foot Rockford Conference Center, and a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city skyline, is located near one of the world's fastest-growing cargo airports.

The exterior framework of the hotel itself uses Lumenpulse Lumenbeam Large Color-Changing RGBW luminaires with Narrow and Very Narrow optics to precisely light the vertical frame. The project also incorporates Lumenpulse's proprietary technology, Lumentalk, which enables the introduction of digital lighting and controls over pre-existing electrical wires without installing separate data cables.

The adjoining streets are adorned with Sternberg's classic 1970 LED Gallery Series downlight fixtures on 3300 Gateway Poles. These assemblies are installed throughout downtown Rockford with fixtures featuring glow rings and frosted sag glass lenses, mounted on custom, candy cane-style arms with scroll, dual planter arms with baskets as well as iconic Rockford medallions.

The overall feel and look of the Embassy Suites lighting project is one of attraction; it moves people towards the structure through a sense of pleasing wonder.
